The Whites face a demanding clash away from home as they look to cement their lead at the top (2:00pm CEST).
The LaLiga fixtures keep coming thick and fast, and with barely any time to enjoy the crucial win over Getafe, Zinedine Zidane's team now face another demanding clash. The San Mamés plays host to Real Madrid's meeting with Athletic (2:00pm CEST) on match day 34 as the Whites' seek another win which will extend their lead at the top of the table.

In this week's previous game, the team set their best run of the season so far, picking up their sixth successive win. Now they'll be hoping to add to the streak against opposition fighting for a European spot, and who have a record of three wins, two draws and just one defeat since the restart.

REAL MADRID ARE THE BEST TEAM IN LALIGA ON THE ROAD.

Despite the difficulties posed by the opposition, Real Madrid are unbeaten in the last nine league clashes between the two. In these fixtures, Benzema has been the standout man, having netted 11  career goals against Athletic. The French forward is in the 23-man squad for the San Mamés encounter.

Finals
“It's another very difficult fixture but we're ready”, said Zidane in the pre-match press conference. Real Madrid continue to treat every remaining match in the title race like a cup final. Following their trip to Athletic, the Whites will face Alavés, Granada, Villarreal and Leganés as they look to put together a run of victories which will ultimately see them crowned champions.
