Zidane's team hosts the fifth-placed team with the aim of winning and extending their lead to 4 points (10pm CEST).
Real Madrid's work after the return to LaLiga actoin is bearing fruit and the good results have followed, making them the only team to have won the last five matches. The next challenge for the league leaders will be against Getafe at the Alfredo Di Stéfano (10pm CEST), where they will look for the win to extend their lead over second-placed Barcelona to four points.

The defensive solidity is one of the strengths of the madridistas, who have kept a clean sheet in 16 of the 32 matches they have played, 50% of the LaLiga matches. In the match the first time round against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, Real Madrid kept a clean sheet in the 3-0 away win.

At this stage of the campaign, the importance of the match can’t be underestimated. Zidane had this to say at the pre-match press conference: "We have to keep this energy up and give our all because Getafe will make it very difficult for us". The French coach has called up 24 players for this match.
European hopefuls
Getafe are having one of the best seasons in their history in the Primera División, so far at least. The team was up to third place in the table at one point. They started this matchday in fifth place with 52 points, making them real European contenders and the dream of making the Champions League is still alive and well.
