The Whites have gone 18 games unbeaten but face a team who have only lost once at home this term (9:00pm CET).
Real Madrid keep progressing through the first month of 2020, playing seven games in three competitions (LaLiga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup). Having qualified for the last-16 of the Copa, where they face Zaragoza, they now go into match day 21 in the league to face Valladolid at the estadio José Zorrilla (9:00pm CET).

The Whites hope to get back to the top of the table after Valencia beat Barcelona (2-0). They will want to extend their excellent form of 18 games unbeaten. Valladolid will not be an easy foe, as shown by their home form. They have only lost once at the José Zorrilla this term.

"We're in good form and we want more of the same against Valladolid", said Zidane in the press conference. Carvajal is out but Zidane called on 19 players for this first away game of the second round. The Whites have conceded the fewest goals in the championship (13 goals in 20 games) and 17 players have scored this season.

The rival
Valladolid were eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Tenerife on Wednesday. That loss put paid to a five game unbeaten streak. In LaLiga, they're in fifteenth position, with a balance of four victories, ten draws and six defeats. Enes Ünal is their top scorer, on five goals.
