"The goal says a lot about Real Madrid, we never give in," added Carvajal.
Courtois was the star in the draw against Valencia at Mestalla. The keeper played a decisive role in Real Madrid's goal when he got on the end of a corner in the last move of the match: "The result gives us a small boost because we were losing 1-0 and we were disappointed. We always play for the three points, but in the end getting one in the last-minute feels like a win and we go to the Camp Nou full of energy. We all have to chip in with what we can. I made two good saves in the second half and then helped from the corner".

"In a lot of our corners, Toni hits the front post and I said I'm going to run there. I saw the ball come in and I got on the end of it and then the ball fell to Benzema, who scored. It's a good point here, although we wanted all three. I went up with conviction because at 1-0 down and seeing that there were only a few minutes left, you're thinking about whether there will be a corner before the end".

Carvajal: "The goal says what Real Madrid is about".
"This point for how it came gives us confidence and means we didn’t lose, which would not have been fair after how we played. We've managed to save that point and continue joint-top. Now we go in to the Clasico full of confidence and hoping to get the win".

Carvajal: "Morale is great around the place and we go in to the Clásico full of confidence”.

“I think the way the goal came about says a lot about Real Madrid, we keep going to the end. Courtois has helped us to get the draw, I congratulate him and now we keep going. This is a long-run thing. We were able to pick up a point at a tough place to come and I hope it’s one that helps us to win LaLiga”.

Valuable point
“We’ll see what this point is worth come the end of the season, if you can’t win the game, just don’t lose it. Things were against us at 1-0 but the team gave it everything they had to level it up and we managed it".

Unbeaten run
"Morale is great around the place as the unbeaten run continues. It’s a huge boost and we’re going to try and win the game at Camp Nou on Wednesday, and then again against Bilbao to head off on our holidays on a high”.
