News | 01/09/2019 | Javier García

Zidane’s team visit the Estadio de la Cerámica in matchday three of the domestic championship (9pm CEST).
Second away trip of the LaLiga campaign for Real Madrid. After the big win against Celta at the start of the season, Zidane’s men face another demanding away game, this time against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica in matchday three (9pm CEST). The goal is to pick up another win before the international break next week.

With tonight's match, the team kicks off an intense September with five LaLiga matches and the Champions League opener. A month in which the side will visit the likes of PSG, Sevilla and Atlético. With that in mind, winning at Villarreal would not be an important three points, but would also help build momentum in the early stages of the season.

BALE MADE HIS DEBUT AND SCORED HIS FIRST REAL MADRID GOAL AGAINST VILLARREAL.

"Villarreal have got good players and are a team that can cause you problems", Zidane warned. Among the available players for the Whites’ coach are Bale and Benzema. The Welshman made his debut and scored his first goal with Real Madrid at the Estadio de la Cerámica. Benzema comes in to the game on a run of 6 goals in his last 7 away games in LaLiga.

The opponents
Villarreal welcome Real Madrid in their second home game of the championship. Javi Calleja’s side are looking for their first win, having previously drawn against Granada (4-4) and lost at Levante (2-1). Albiol, Rubén Peña, Ontiveros and Alberto Moreno are some of the new additions for the team from Castellón, although the last one will not be available due to injury.
