Laso: "We can't wait for the games to start"

"We've got five friendly games in eight days to grow as a team and head into the Super Cup in good shape", commented Laso.
Real Madrid coach, Pablo Laso, attended the ceremony to mark the unveiling of the sponsorship agreement with Palladium Group Hotel, during which he took some time out to offer his thoughts on the first week of pre-season: "The players have done a good job of keeping themselves in shape over the summer and the first few sessions have been really good. They've involved more fitness work but the players have shown that they're ready to compete. We can't wait for the games to start and we'll get things under way with the Costa del Sol Tournament, as has been the case in recent years. We'll have to see whether we're able to take the good week that we've had into those games". 

Costa del Sol Tournament
"We always go into it with some absentees, but it's a tournament that allows you to draft in young players, who get a feel for what it's like to be in the first team. It also allows us to see where we're at and to improve ahead of the season. It's a tournament where the folk treat us really well and there are many madridistas there to get behind us".

Super Cup
"We need to use the games in the right way as good training sessions. We've got eight games in five days and the important thing is that they're useful for us. We'll be doing all we can to win it and we'll be able to see how the new players are settling in and grow as a team to make sure we head into the Super Cup in good shape".
