In the 1989/90 season, Butragueño scored in the win over Sevilla.
This week on Historic Goals, the protagonist is Butragueño. The striker came to the Real Madrid first team via the youth team after impressing with Castilla. He was very skillful, with a great dribble and the ability to change pace and confuse rival defenders.

In the 1989/90 season, Real Madrid visited the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán to face Sevilla on match day 28 in LaLiga. Butragueño scored the goal to bring Real Madrid level before the team went on to win. The cross came in from the left towards the goal line, and as the ball was knocked towards the penalty spot, Butragueño appeared from behind to strike it with his left and make it all square. The game ended 1-2 to Real Madrid.
Butragueño played at Real Madrid for 12 seasons, playing 463 games and scoring 171 goals. He won 15 titles: 2 UEFA Cups, 6 LaLigas, 2 Copas del Rey, 1 Copa de la Liga and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
