The Uruguayan star is in his second season with the first team.
Federico Valverde is today celebrating his 21st birthday. The Uruguayan central midfielder is about to begin his second season at Real Madrid, where he has so far made 25 appearances. The first of those came in the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen at the Santiago Bernabéu in October 2018.
Valverde joined Castilla in the 2016/17 season from Peñarol. His impressive performances saw him move to Deportivo de La Coruña on loan in the following campaign, gaining some Primera División experience, before returning to play in the first team. He has one Club World Cup title as a madridista and is also a full Uruguay international, playing in the recent Copa América for his country.
