The madridista reserve team came back against Barcelona with goals from Carlos Díez, Ciria, Yeremiah, and Valero, closing out a season in which they also won the Youth League and the League.
The Juvenil A of Real Madrid secured their ninth Champions Cup title in their category after defeating Barcelona 1-4 in the final played at the Municipal El Val. The team, led by Álvaro López, became the first Spanish team to win the UEFA Youth League, the League, and the Champions Cup in the same season. They overturned Villar's opening goal (27’) thanks to goals from Carlos Díez (50’), Alexis Ciria (62’), Yeremiah (67’), and Gabri Valero (90+5') in an excellent second half.
The match began with high intensity and Juvenil A pushing the pressing line forward to disrupt the opponent's buildup play. Barcelona responded with a shot from Quim that Javi Navarro saved. After the first 15 minutes, Yeremiah came within centimeters of connecting with a cross from Liberto. The game remained relentless, and in this back-and-forth, it was the Catalan team that opened the scoring with a low shot from Villar inside the box (27’). Our team attempted to react before halftime, and Alexis Ciria had a chance to equalize after a rebound inside the box, but his shot went wide.
Real Madrid comes back
After the break, the referee showed a second yellow card to Ïu Martínez for a hard tackle on Lacosta. Almost immediately afterward, Real Madrid equalized. In the 50th minute, Carlos Díez scored the 1-1 with a shot inside the box after a fine play by Gabri Valero. The Juvenil took control of the game and completed the comeback in the 62nd minute, when Lezcano headed on a corner, and Alexis Ciria capitalized on the second ball to beat the opposing goalkeeper with another header.
Yeremiah and Valero seal the final
The reserve team was relentless in attack, and five minutes later, Yeremiah Gabri Valero cut in from the right wing, shifted inside, and struck a fine shot with the inside of his left foot to secure the definitive 1-4 scoreline and conclude a historic season for Juvenil A.
