The Bernabéu bid farewell to our captain Dani Carvajal and David Alaba with the honors they deserve as two legendary players. Both madridistas, essential figures in one of the most successful eras of our club and who have won 27 and 11 titles respectively with Real Madrid, were the protagonists in the last LaLiga match. This emotional tribute began before the kickoff when the fans displayed a beautiful tifo of the captain laying the first stone of the Ciudad Real Madrid alongside the legendary Alfredo Di Stéfano, with the words: “The dream of a child, the triumph of a legend. Thank you Carvajal.”

Real Madrid could not have started the game better. Carvajal wanted to say goodbye in grand style and, with a brilliant long pass to Gonzalo behind the defense, enabled the forward to make it 1-0 after beating Padilla in a one-on-one (12’). Athletic's response came after the half-hour mark when Galarreta connected a cross-shot that Iñaki Williams couldn't finish, and Courtois had to save it in two attempts. Our team kept pushing, and in the 41st minute, Thiago delivered a fantastic lofted pass at the edge of the box, which Bellingham controlled with his chest and fired a left-footed shot into the top corner. However, five minutes later, Guruzeta narrowed the gap with a stunning volley in the area to make it 2-1 before halftime.

Second Half
After the break, the visitors were the first to create a chance through Robert Navarro, who tried his luck with a shot from a tight angle in the box that narrowly missed (47'). But four minutes later, Real Madrid didn't falter. Mbappé received a pass at the edge of the box, controlled the ball, and fired a low shot to extend the team's lead and secure his 25th goal in LaLiga and his second consecutive Pichichi Trophy. The team was relentless, and in the 57th minute, Bellingham had a chance to complete his brace with another shot from the edge of the box, but Padilla made the save. Adama responded in the 62nd minute with a powerful long-range effort that once again went just wide of the post.

Farewells to Carvajal and Alaba
Then, in the 70th minute, the first farewell came. Alaba was substituted by Huijsen, our stadium erupted in applause, and the fans raised their seats in tribute to that iconic image during the journey to winning the Fourteenth. And in the 84th minute, another highly anticipated moment of the match arrived. Arbeloa replaced our captain Carvajal with Manu Serrano, who made his debut with the first team, and the game paused. A massive ovation from the Bernabéu to bid farewell to one of the greatest legends of our club, with a guard of honor from both teams. Brahim aimed to put the finishing touch on the madridista victory by scoring the 4-1 in the 88th minute, but immediately after, Izeta netted the second goal for Athletic Club (90'+1). A victory for Real Madrid in a match filled with emotions.
