NEWS | 14/04/2019One hundred pupils at risk from exclusion are set to receive training in football and values from the start of May.
The three-day course features both theoretical and practical sessions and will enable the local coaches to implement the Real Madrid Foundation's teaching methodology. Por una educación REAL: Valores y deporte, (For a REAL education: Values and sport) as featured in the Entrenando fútbol, enseñando valores, (Coaching football, teaching values) textbook seeks to contribute to the all-round development of the boys and girls of Tamano. The new project, rolled out with the backing of Inter Dream Partners, aims to promote the integration and social skills of the youngsters, who spend long periods alone during their parents' working days once the school day is over.
Pupils aged between nine and 12
There are a total of 100 young beneficiaries, aged between nine and 12. During this first stage, there will be two coaches in charge of the school's on-field training, whilst a further two teachers/monitors will be responsible for the social teaching. The new socio-sporting school is located in the city of Tamano, Okayama, which boasts a population of over 60,000.
The target of this project is to reduce the amount of time that the children spend alone, owing to their parents' long working hours, once the school day is over. The new school bids to offer a solution to this issue by offering the young participants a comprehensive socio-sporting after-school programme. The scheme promotes the appropriate use of free time, healthy lifestyle habits, outdoor team sports, whilst also offering English classes, academic support and nutritional content.
