Benzema’s brace makes him Real Madrid’s sixth top all-time scorer

The French striker has scored 209 goals for the Whites and overtakes the 208 scored by Hugo Sánchez.
Karim Benzema continues to cement his place amongst the great scorers in the history of Real Madrid. After scoring another brace at Montilivi, the French forward went past the 208 goals scored by Hugo Sánchez and is now the sixth top all-time scorer for Real Madrid. Since joining the club in 2009, Benzema has scored 209 goals, coming in LaLiga (136), the Champions League (47), the Copa del Rey (20), the Club World Cup (3), the Spanish Super Cup (2) and the European Super Cup (1).
 
After overtaking Hugo Sanchez, the next player that Benzema can reach is Puskas, who scored 242 goals and is Real Madrid’s fifth-top scorer. Santillana, Di Stéfano, Raúl and Cristiano Ronaldo are the other players who are ahead of the French centre forward.
