The Whites visit the Galician side on LaLiga match day 18 (8:45pm CET).
LaLiga kicks off again in 2018 with Real Madrid making the trip to Galicia for match day 18 in the championship to take on Celta de Vigo. After beginning the new year with a win over Numancia in the Copa del Rey to put one foot in the quarter finals, the Whites turn their attentions back to LaLiga at Balaídos (8:45pm CET).

“We're up against what are strong opponents in this league, who work hard and have some good players”, said Zinedine Zidane as his discussed the clash in the media room at Real Madrid City. The French coach, who this week celebrated two years since taking over in the madridista dugout, will be without Carvajal who is suspended for the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo makes a return to one of his favourite hunting grounds. The Portuguese man has notched seven goals on his six visits to Balaídos, averaging more than a goal per game on Vigo soil. Another player who has fond memories of playing against the Galician side is Toni Kroos, who has also found the net on three occasions against tonight's opposition.

Sitting mid-table, Juan Carlos Unzué's team closed out 2017 with a Galician derby triumph, getting the better of Deportivo de la Coruña away (1-3). They've managed eleven points in their eight home games so far and, with eleven goals, Iago Aspas is their top scorer.
