Álvaro Morata scored his first madridista hat-trick in the game against Leganés, improving on his Primera División goal scoring record in the process. The striker has netted 16 goals across all competitions: 11 in LaLiga, 3 the Champions League and 2 in the Copa del Rey. This figure sees him eclipse his best tally for Juventus, when he scored 15 goals in the 2014/15 season.

Morata also broke his appearances record for Real Madrid in the clash against their city rivals. The academy product has taken part in 35 games this campaign, bettering the 34 he managed in 2013/14.
