NEWS STORY. 22/08/2023

The match will be played on Saturday 16 September, at 6.30pm, at the Palacio de Deportes in Murcia.

Real Madrid will begin the 2023/24 season with the Spanish Super Cup, which will be held on 16 and 17 September in Murcia. Following the draw that took place at the Palacio de San Esteban, the Whites will face Barça in the semi-finals.

The clash will be played on Saturday 16 September at 6.30pm (CEST) at the Palacio de Deportes in Murcia. Should the madridistas qualify for the final (Sunday 17 at 7pm), they will play the winners of the tie between UCAM Murcia and Unicaja de Málaga. Real Madrid are the reigning champions and the most decorated team in the competition with nine trophies and have won the last five consecutive editions of the competition.

Herreros: “We'll come with everything we have to try to win it”
“There was a 50% chance that we'd play Barça or Unicaja and it was Barça. If we want to be champions we have to win both matches and that's what we're going to do. We're going to try to go into it as well as possible, because the World Cup ends late and we have very little preparation time, but we'll come with everything we have to try to win the Super Cup.”
