Some fifty boys and girls from the Real Madrid Foundation's socio-sports school in Riyadh watched the first team train for the Spanish Super Cup. It was a unique opportunity for them to catch a glimpse of their heroes and they were overjoyed to see them up close. This experience will culminate with the Real Madrid match against Valencia.
The school in Riyadh has recently celebrated 10 years of activity, as a result of a partnership with Riyadh Schools, an educational institution of the Saudi Arabian Royal family, which aims to enhance equality between girls and boys. There are currently some 250 children benefiting from the programme, of the 900 pupils in the school for Saudi children. The Riyadh Schools programme centres on the education of the local population and is expected to expand to the rest of the country through schools with social and sporting activities organised by the Real Madrid Foundation.
