The Palacio faithful roared the Whites on to victory to move 2-1 up in the series and they could be crowned champions on Sunday.

Real Madrid are now just one win away from clinching their 36th league title. Roared on by the Wizink Center faithful, the Whites convincingly defeated Barça in the third matchup of the series, showing great character and drive to overpower the Catalan side. It was a complete performance from our team with Yabusele and Poirier (both with18 in PIR) leading four other players in double digits in this category. The electric atmosphere at the Palacio drove Madrid on to edge ahead in the series and they will have two opportunities to be crowned champions – the first in less than 48 hours’ time (Sunday, 6pm CET).
There was a tremendous atmosphere at the WiZink Center to welcome the third game of the final series, which commenced like the previous two, with Madrid taking the lead in a first quarter (21-16) during which they exuded verve on every play. The hosts started off highly motivated and after an alternation in the scoreboard, where Barça profited from the pick & roll with Calathes, they edged ahead in the 6th minute. Hanga, with five points and a breath-taking dunk plus a personal foul that got the Palacio on its feet, spearheaded the team's all-round scoring in these first 10 minutes.

Madrid bite; the Palacio roars
The visitors enjoyed some momentum with a run by Kuric at the start of the second quarter that pulled them to within one point, but the madridistas demonstrated remarkable composure and with Chus Mateo's constant rotations, they sustained strong physical intensity, with everyone chipping in. The hosts countered Barça's individual attacks. Llull, Causeur, Rudy, Taylor and Deck supplied the points, while Yabusele, Poirier and Tavares were ravaging on the offensive rebounds. A three-pointer from Rudy after five consecutive points from the French forward brought the score to 44-34 in the 26th minute.
Madrid came out strongly after the break and Barça were again overpowered by the intensity of their play, giving them no respite - there were certainly no signs that this was the 85th game of the season. Tavares and Deck cancelled out Kuric, who carried the Catalans through tonight. Yet steadily and relentlessly, with Poirier and Yabusele doing a great job of rebounding and holding firm in defence, Madrid nullified the visitors, who were unable to mount a fightback. The lead reached 19 points at the midway point of the final quarter (81-66, min.40).
