Alocén and Garuba make the best young quintet of the 2020-21 League season

The Real Madrid players were chosen in a vote by players, coaches, fans and the media.
Two Real Madrid players, Carlos Alocén and Usman Garuba, have been named in the best young quintet of the Endesa League along with Bolmaro (Barça), Radoncic (Gipuzkoa Basket) and Nzosa (Unicaja). It's the third time in a row for the point guard and the second for the power forward. Players, coaches, fans and the media took part in the vote.

The present and future of Real Madrid. At 20 years of age, Alocén, in his first season under Pablo Laso, has played 14 of his 27 games as a starter with an average of 5.4 points, 2.9 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 5.8 PIR in 16 minutes of play. His best performance to date with the Whites in this competition came against Baxi Manresa and Urbas Fuenlabrada with 18 PIR. He has been the most selected point guard, ahead of former Whites youth player Ziga Samar, who is now with Urbas Fuenlabrada.

Garuba in again
The Real Madrid youth player has achieved this distinction for the second consecutive season. This term, he's become a key player for Laso thanks to his energy and the high level he has performed. At 19 years of age, he's averaging 5.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 8 PIR in 17 minutes this season. His best performance came against Joventut with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 24 PIR, but the centre has also put in great performances like the one at the Palau Blaugrana, where he was key in the win. He also received the most votes amoungst the centres, ahead of Nzosa (Unicaja), Balcerowski (Herbalife Gran Canaria) and Jaime Pradilla (Valencia Basket).
