After his brace against Ukraine, the captain broke Passarella's record and has now scored 23 goals for Spain.
Sergio Ramos continues to add to his legend status. The Real Madrid and Spain captain scored a brace in the 4-0 win over Ukraine at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium and became the all-time top scorer in national team matches. With these two goals, he has now scored 23 goals for Spain and breaks the previous record set by Daniel Passarella, who had scored 22 goals for Argentina.

The Andalusian also became the eighth top scorer in the history of the Spanish national team. After his penalty and header against the Ukrainian team, he overtook Julio Salinas (22) in the list of scorers and equalized the 23 that Alfredo Di Stéfano got for Spain.

At the end of the match, Ramos spoke about the win: "I'm very happy with the result and the three points, it was a very professional performance. And on a personal level, a record I had in mind, which was to overtake Passarella. I can also contribute to the team with goals. I'm very satisfied".
