Rueda de prensa de Pablo Laso

Laso: "Zaragoza is having a great season and will demand a big effort from us"

NEWS | 07/03/2020

"It's a big Endesa League match-up and I hope the team's capable of producing its best", he added.

Pablo Laso spoke in the build-up to Sunday's Endesa League Round 23 contest against Casademont Zaragoza (12:30pm CET) and he previewed the match in the following terms: "It's a big league game. Zaragoza is having a great season. It's in third place, which speaks volumes of their work. The game doesn't come along at the best time for us on account of the unavailable players we've got, but it's an important game and I hope the team's capable of producing its best".

"We face a very good team, with good players in every position. It's a physical, athletic and tall team, with a lot of rotation in all positions. They will demand a big effort from us".

Calendar
"January was a really demanding month, we had to get injured players back. We headed into the Copa del Rey in good shape and we're now paying the price a bit with the players who've picked up injuries since then in Llull and Randolph. The current issues with the players is probably down to that fatigue and workload. We have to accept it and realise that it's a very demanding schedule, move on after the games and get ready for the next ones".

Eleven straight wins
"You're happier when you win than when you lose. The only thing we're focused on now is on winning tomorrow and there'll then be time to think about the next one. We don't live on what we've won before. We're up against a very tough opponent tomorrow and have to keep working hard and improving".
