NEWS | 13/11/2019The social-sporting school in the city of Kapsabet is up and running.
The education project combining values and sport is supported by the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, and benefits more than 50 children in aiding their development.
The socio-sporting school focuses on helping children in vulnerable situations or at risk of social exclusion, in an area heavily affected by a range of problems including HIV, unemployment, lack of schooling, drugs, early marriage, teenage pregnancy and delinquency.
Through education in sporting values like motivation, effort and improvement, teamwork or respect for the environment, the beneficiaries will receive a complete learning experience. They also enjoy psycho-social support, healthcare and nutritional support for kids, with the support of the Sananda Foundation.
Last summer, a training team from the Foundation delivered the first course for coaches, introducing the For a Real Education: Values and sport methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation.
