2-1: CSKA Moscow overcome Yenisey ahead of their visit to Madrid

The Whites' next opponents remain third in the Russian league.
CSKA Moscow picked up a home win against the team currently bottom of the Russian Premier League, Yenisey. Real Madrid's upcoming Champions League opponents started the game strongly when Schennikov opened the scoring inside four minutes, before Vlasic made it 2-0 on 15'.

In the second half, Yenisey reacted to make it 2-1 on 54' with a Komolov strike. The visitors could have levelled proceedings but Kichin struck the post with his penalty. The game was the final meeting in the Russian league before the winter break. The competition will resume in March.

Following this result, CSKA Moscow have managed eight wins, six draws and three defeats in the league. This sees them sit in third place, having enjoyed a five-game unbeaten run.
