Part of Madrid's second European Cup winning team
At just 20 years of age, Carlos Sutter joined the club, with Real Madrid reigning supreme in Spain and Europe. Born in Murcia on 7 January 1936, he formed part of the 1956/57 squad. In that season, our team won its second European Cup, overcoming Fiorentina 2-0 in the final thanks to goals from Di Stéfano and Gento.
He also won the Spanish League and the Latin Cup in 1957. Sutter not only played for the first team and Plus Ultra, but also represented clubs such as Cordoba, Levante and Elche. He passed away in February 2022.
