Leaders bid to take another step towards title
PREVIEW.Alberto Navarro
There's simply no let-up in the LaLiga schedule. Just three days on from the excellent win at the Sánchez-Pizjuán, Real Madrid tonight face another tough away day. The Whites travel to El Sadar with just six cup finals left in the battle to seal the club's 35th LaLiga title. The madridistas currently lead Sevilla, Atlético and Barcelona, who have a game in hand, by 15 points and so Carlo Ancelotti's men require two wins and a draw to mathematically secure the title and will be looking to claim the first of those victories tonight at Osasuna to edge closer to the title.

This will be our team's sixth outing in a sensational April, in which we have won all of our LaLiga outings CeltaGetafe and Sevilla and progressed into the Champions League semi-finals after seeing off Chelsea. After tonight's game, Real Madrid are not in action again until the 26th and the first leg of the European Cup semi-final against Manchester City. Four days later, our side will bring the curtain down on the month at the Santiago Bernabéu against Espanyol.
“We want to beat Osasuna and close in on the title”, declared Ancelotti in his pre-match press conference. The Italian welcomes Dani Ceballos back to the fold after he tested negative for COVID and he features in a squad list that includes 25-goal Karim Benzema. The Frenchman is enjoying a stunning run of form and has netted in nine of his last 10 outings, notching 15 goals in the process.

The opposition
Osasuna welcome the league leaders sitting ninth in the table ahead of the latest round of games and after having enjoyed an away success at Valencia last time out. The hosts have recorded three wins on the bounce at El Sadar, after having overcome Alavés 1-0, Levante 3-1 and Villarreal 1-0 and have not conceded in four of the last six games on their patch. Chimy Ávila and Budimir are the home side's leading goalscorers with seven goals apiece. Our team will be looking to come away from Pamplona a step closer to claiming the LaLiga crown.
