NEWS.
Saint Denis Stadium in Paris was the venue for Real Madrid's eighth European Cup triumph. Our team added to their legendary status, beating Valencia in the competition's first ever all-Spanish final. On 24 May 2000, the madridistas delivered a fantastic display which saw Morientes open the scoring with his head before half-time, before McManaman, with an acrobatic effort and Raúl, with his tenth of the European campaign, rounded off the performance.

Real Madrid lifted the continental title in Paris, the same city that had witnessed the beginning of their legendary status in the competition, following the first final back in 1956. Our team made history once again in the same stadium in 2022, when they got their hands on the Decimocuarta against Liverpool.

On the way to the Octava, the madridistas took on Porto, Olympiacos and Molde in the first Group Stage and Bayern Munich, Dinamo Kiev and Rosenborg in the second. The quarter-finals will long be remembered for Redondo's brilliance at Old Trafford, the Argentine coming up with a sublime back-heel into space before setting up Raúl to beat Manchester United. In the semis against Bayern Munich, Anelka was the standout man, scoring in both legs.

All-Spanish finals
Real Madrid were also victorious in the following two all-Spanish finals. Both came against Atlético, the first also coming on 24 May, in 2014 La Décima, in Lisbon. The latter ended with La Undécima in Milan.
