Historic Goles: Pirri

This week in Goles con Historia, the star of the show is Pirri. A club legend, he joined Real Madrid from Granada and was a very versatile player, he shone as a midfielder, defender and even striker. He scored 172 goals as a madridista.

In the 1967/68 season, Real Madrid received Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabéu on matchday 2. The goal we are highlighting is the second goal of the match. Sanchís put in a cross into the box and Pirri headed into the back of the net for the first goal of his brace in the home game. 

Pirri spent 16 seasons at Real Madrid, in which he played 561 games and won 15 titles: 1 European Cup, 10 Leagues and 4 Spanish Cups.
