Real Madrid overcame Valencia 3-1 in the final played at the Camp Nou in 1970.

Real Madrid won the Spanish Cup for the eleventh time 52 years ago today. The opponents in the final were Valencia in a match played at the Camp Nou. Pirri and Vicente Jara were on target to leave the contest level going in to the break, but our side won the game in the second half thanks to goals from Planelles and Fleitas.

The madridistas reached the match at the Camp Nou after beating Castellón, Las Palmas, Barcelona and Athletic in the two-legged ties. Miguel Muñoz was the coach and Amancio was Madrid's top scorer in that edition with six goals.
