NEWS | 18/05/2021

The UNFP conferred the award on the Real Madrid striker, who has notched 29 goals this term.
Karim Benzema has been named as the best French player playing abroad by the UNFP (France's National Union of Professional Football Players). The madridista frontman saw off competition from Ferland Mendy (Real Madrid), Hugo Lloris (Tottenham), Kanté (Chelsea) and Ousmane Dembelé (Barcelona) in voting that also featured players from the top two tiers of French football. Benzema, who also landed this award in 2019, is enjoying an excellent campaign, in which he has plundered 29 goals and provided eight assists.
