The Foundation's second Training Exchange took place this season between schools in Spain and Honduras has ended. Two Real Madrid Foundation coaches shared their expertise at the socio-sporting schools over the course of a month in Madrid and three parts of Honduras: San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa and La Ceiba. The aim was to share experiences, knowledge and help spread the methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation.

Sara Villamariz was in charge of operations in Honduras, a project that has grown in numbers, quality, education and structure. As well as assisting with weekly training, she gave two workshops focussed on educational tools and social inclusion within the game. She also made follow-up visits to several of the schools in order to bolster management aspects including the planning and programming of educational content.

Over 400 children and 26 project teachers benefitted from the exchange in Honduras.

Coach Annuar Fabricio Perdomo shared his experiences and spoke of his work within the Madrid projects. He spoke of the educational processes that take place in the projects, how the teaching materials are put to use and how the Foundation's methodology is used in various ways.

Diunsa Foundation
The socio-sporting schools in Honduras are backed by the Diunsa Foundation, who look to improve the social situation that many Honduran families find themselves in. The beneficiaries receive health care, food, English classes and IT classes. They are given workshops on sporting values and are provided with necessary school materials. They also take part in fun leisure activities and families are invited to talks. Families are also supported by Honduran organizations that work with the Diunsa Foundation, including: the Municipal Sports Institute of San Pedro Sula, the National Pedagogical University Francisco Morazán of Tegucigalpa and the region of La Ceiba.
