Tejada joined Real Madrid in the 1965/66 season from Córdoba. It was a historic season as club's history was enriched with the sixth European Cup and Tejada was part of that success. The player from Cordoba appeared in the whole of the round of 32 play-off match against Feyenoord (6-2 on aggregate) and the second leg of the round of 16 game against Kilmarnock (5-1).
