21 years since the inauguration of Ciudad Real Madrid

Ciudad Real Madrid celebrates its 21st anniversary, a source of pride for all madridistas. On September 30, 2005, under the presidency of Florentino Pérez, it was inaugurated, and its evolution has been constant to maintain its status as the best sports city in the world. “Ciudad Real Madrid will be a symbol of what this club has been and what it will be. Today, this dream materializes. Today begins the journey of the territory where we will work every day to continue being the most important club in history. It will be an essential part of our footballing strength in this new 21st century, and the destiny of Real Madrid will also be shaped by it,” said the president on the day of the inauguration.

The first team trains here daily, and their camps take place in the residence. The basketball section has been fully integrated into Ciudad Real Madrid since 2016, thanks to the pavilion. It serves as their training ground and is also used by the youth basketball teams for training and games. The women's team also trains and plays their home matches at Ciudad Real Madrid. Additionally, these facilities, which began construction on May 12, 2004, with the placement of the first stone, can host other events such as the Representatives Members' Assemblies.

Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium
Ciudad Real Madrid is home to the youth football teams, both male and female. The training sessions and matches of our youth teams take place here. A key venue is the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium, which pays tribute to the greatest player of all time and hosts the matches of Castilla, the first women's team, and Juvenil A in the UEFA Youth League.

Corporate Office Building
The corporate office building is another example of the growth of Ciudad Real Madrid. In 2018, all club employees and the Real Madrid Foundation relocated to this building, which was designed with the highest architectural and functional quality, reflecting the core values of sobriety, transparency, sustainability, and modernity.

Agronomic Laboratory
Ciudad Real Madrid houses an agronomic laboratory to study, test, and fine-tune the innovative automated pitch system of the Santiago Bernabéu. It consists of a 900 m² building, with an exterior featuring artificial turf roofing.

Madrid Innovation District
The grounds of Ciudad Real Madrid will host the technological district Madrid Innovation District (MID), which was presented in May 2025. It will be a new urban space where companies, researchers, and entrepreneurs can work together, share knowledge, and drive innovative projects. The MID will become the most important technological district in Europe, a nerve center where talent and technology converge to shape the future.
