A huge match is in store at Anfield on matchday four of the Champions League group stage. Real Madrid face Liverpool in a highly anticipated clash between two teams who have gone head-to-head 12 times in Europe's premier competition (9 pm CET).

The Whites will be vying to continue their impressive form, which has seen the league leaders pull clear at the top of the table after wins against Barcelona (2-1) and Valencia (4-0), they are also high up in the Champions League standings after victories over Marseille (2-1), Kairat Almaty (0-5) and Juventus (1-0).

“It's a big match, a classic in European football. It's a match that the fans love to watch. Tomorrow we'll do our jobs, which is to perform well and get a good result. The mental preparation for these matches is important and the quality of both football and personality will be very important tomorrow,” said Xabi Alonso in the press conference ahead of the clash.

Huijsen also spoke to the media: "We're really looking forward to it. We hope we can get the three points and do our best.” The coach is hoping his team can record a fourth victory in the Champions League and his squad features Mbappé, the competition’s joint top scorer along with Kane (5), and Bellingham, who has scored 3 goals in his last three outings.
