Dean Huijsen spoke to the media at Anfield ahead of the Champions League group stage matchday four clash with Liverpool (Tuesday, 9 pm CET): “We're really looking forward to it. We hope we can get the three points and do our best.”

“Mentally, I'm doing very well. I’m very happy to be here. I hope to bring a lot of joy to the Madridistas.”

Rapport with Militão
Militão is a very complete centre-back. Off the pitch, he's also a very good person. We're very comfortable together.”

Anfield
“I have personally already played here. That's not going to be a problem. It's just a football pitch and it's the players who play. I prefer to train in our sports centre rather than here in the run-up to this game."

On his decision to join Real Madrid
Real Madrid is a dream and I wanted to play for what is, for me, and I think for everyone, the best club in the world. I fitted in well with Xabi's ideas and the club's plan. I'm very happy to be here.”

Mbappé
“Last year, I wasn't around. I watched Real Madrid's matches, but not all of them. I think that a player who won the Golden Boot last year can't be in bad form. He had a great season and he's having a great season now. We're very pleased with him.”

Playing out from the back, one of his best qualities
“I think I'm good at playing out and I try to help the team where I can. Xabi Alonso also asks me to do that and more. I'm happy about that.”

On his time at Juventus and Roma
“In Italy, I went to learn how to defend well and I learned a lot. I'm very grateful to Juventus and Roma. About letting me go easily. It was their decision. More from Juventus because I was on loan at Roma with an option to buy. I'm very grateful for the experiences, I had a great time at both clubs."

Vini Jr.
“A lot is written in the press and you have made a big deal out of something that wasn't that big. He's apologised, he's an incredible teammate and a very good person. It's all right, these things happen in football.”
