Just 40 minutes separate Real Madrid from clinching their 29th Copa del Rey trophy. The most decorated team in the competition take on Barcelona 6:30 pm CET at the Palacio de los Deportes in Granada with the sole objective of picking up their second trophy of the season. Pablo Laso’s charges, who emerged victorious from the Clásico to take the Spanish Super Cup, will be looking for a repeat performance to collect another trophy.

This will be the team´s ninth consecutive Copa del Rey final and the Whites will have to be at their best to prevail against Barça. Jasikevicius' troops, who edged out UCAM Murcia in the semi-finals, are enjoying a fantastic season. They sit second in the league behind Madrid and top the EuroLeague standings with the same number of wins as Laso's side.
On route to the final, the madridistas knocked out Río Breogán and Lenovo Tenerife, after two defensively solid displays, in which Laso’s men dominated on the rebound and didn’t give their opponents the chance to run with the ball. A strong defensive performance will be crucial if the team is to prevail against Barça in the final.

Another area of play that will be essential will be the accuracy from the outside. In this aspect, our team excelled against Tenerife, making more than 50% of their shots from the 6.75 line. Tavares, Heurtel and Yabusele, who posted double-digit scoring figures, are the team's standout performers and they could be pivotal in the final. The cup kings will be looking for their 29th trophy in the Granada Clásico.
