Real Madrid sealed their place in the Liga Endesa semi-final playoffs. The European champions will face Joventut in a best-of-five series with home-court advantage. The first two matches will be played at the WiZink Center on Tuesday, 6 June (9 pm CET), and Thursday, 8 June (9 pm). The third game will be at the Olímpico de Badalona on Saturday, 10 June (6:30 pm; Movistar Deportes). If a fourth game is required, it will also be played away on Monday, 12 June (9 pm). Should there be a fifth and final match, it would be at the WiZink Center on Wednesday, 14 June (9 pm).
After sixteen years, Madrid will face La Penya once again in the ACB semi-finals. It will be the sixth time the Whites have gone head-to-head with the side in the play-offs prior to the final, with a 4-1 balance in Madrid's favour. The madridistas won 2-0 in 1983/84, 3-1 in 1988/89, 3-0 in 1996/97 and 3-2 in 2006/07. In 1989/90 Joventut triumphed by 0-3. This season, Chus Mateo's boys have won both league clashes, 96-79 at the WiZink Center and 76-86 on La Penya's home court.
