Randolph's return

NEWS STORY. 02/04/2023

The power forward added 8 points and 8 rebounds in his first game after a 293-day absence.

Fantastic news for Real Madrid fans. Anthony Randolph made his comeback for the Whites 293 days after sustaining an injury at the Palau in the first game of the final of the last league season, where he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Chus Mateo introduced him in the first quarter and the WiZink Center greeted him with a standing ovation. The power forward spent almost 16 minutes on the court and helped the team to victory against Coviran Granada with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 10 in PIR.

Randolph's resilience knows no bounds. He previously proved so following an Achilles tendon injury in December 2020, and now he is back from another injury sustained on 13 June 2022.

That was the beginning of a challenging period for him. He spent many months of hard work and effort on his own, but with his sheer determination, he has been completing the timeline established for his recovery. In February he joined the group and returned to action against Coviran.

Real Madrid legend
Randolph is now in his seventh season with Real Madrid and is the ninth foreigner in terms of the number of games he has played in the Madrid jersey. With today's game, he has made 305 appearances and amassed 11 trophies: 1 EuroLeague titles, 3 league titles, 2 Copa del Rey trophies and 5 Spanish Super Cups.
