Real Madrid will take on Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-finals following the draw held at the Royal Spanish Football Federation's headquarters. The tie will be played over two legs with Ancelotti's side at home in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu on 28 February, 1 or 2 March before the return leg at the Camp Nou on 4, 5 or 6 April.
It will be the fourteenth time we have played Barcelona in the cup. The Catalan side knocked out Intercity (3-4), Ceuta (0-5) and Real Sociedad (1-0) on their way to the semi-finals.
Butragueño: "We'll be trying to get a good result at the Bernabéu"
"The first game is at home where we'll have the Bernabéu behind us and we'll be trying to get a good result to defend in Barcelona and qualify for the final. There were a range of circumstances in the Super Cup match. The team has reacted very well, and the game against Real Sociedad was remarkable in every aspect of the game. The team gave their all to win comfortably. This is the kind of performance we need for the next few weeks".
"The timetable is very demanding for every team. We'll need all of our players. We've seen that in the last few games. We're getting the injured players back gradually. The players are playing with pride and commitment, and that fills us with optimism".
Support from the fans
"We have to use the support of our fans at the Bernabéu in the first leg and get a good result. When the teams are so evenly matched, I don't think the order the games are played is so important. If we get a good result at the Bernabéu, we can defend it well in Barcelona. It's the way it's is and we have to be ready to compete with the hope of making it to the final. We have a very difficult game ahead of us because of the opponents, but we have to do everything we can to win".
