"We're still growing and we have to be happy with today's game, even if we're disappointed with the result", explained the coach.
Zinedine Zidane appeared in the media room at the Santiago Bernabéu to assess his side's clash with Paris Saint-Germain: “It was a superb performance by the team. We're still growing and we have to be happy with today's game, even if we're disappointed with the result. It's not an issue. We should be pleased with how we played for 80 minutes. I'd sign up to play like that every week right now. In the first match, they were better than us, but we were the better side tonight. The mistake let them back into it but we have to accept it".

“Our fans were crucial, They got behind us from the first minute to the last. We have to keep this up. The draw is disappointing for both me and the players after doing so well for the majority of the game. We played fantastically and created a lot of chances. We could have got four or five goals. That little mistake is just part of football. It's cruel, but we accept it. That said, I'll focus on everything we did right today. I really enjoyed it so I imagine everyone else did, too”.

The team's progress
“We're working brilliantly and making progress. The players are the same now as they were before, we just had to be patient. We have to keep playing in the same way and growing as a team, that's all there is to it. That's football. You have tough spells and you've got to stick together and not stop working hard because that's the only way to get through those tough spells”.

Second in the group
“It doesn't matter. The important thing was to qualify and we've done that. We put in a great performance despite already having qualified”.

We could have scored four or five.

"Hazard put in an amazing performance.  He's sprained his ankle. I hope it's nothing major. We'll have to see tomorrow. It's more than a simple knock, but I can't say any more than that. They've taken him off to do some tests".

Isco and Marcelo
"Both of them did really well. Isco played in a position where we changed our set-up so that could operate between the lines. That's what we were looking for and both of them did well, as the whole team did in general. It was an amazing performance and a brilliant showing from us".

"He's improving, as they all are, and he's doing well, but it's tough to play that role and be the box-to-box midfielder for the whole game".

Mbappé's performance
"He did his job. He got his goal and I've got nothing more to say".

Keylor Navas's showing
"He did his job, but I'm not surprised by how he did. He also produced some really good performances for us. He made three or four good saves for them".
