Barcelona - Real Madrid

Ramos equals Pirri with the eight most games as a madridista

NEWS | 06/05/2018 | Antonio M. Leal

"We played very well in general and this is how to prepare for the final in Kiev", said the captain.
Sergio Ramos started at the Camp Nou and levelled the number of a madridista legend: Pirri (561). The captain has played the eight most games as a madridista  and in thirteen seasons with the club he has scored 72 goals, winning 18 titles (3 European Cups, 3 Club World Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 4 League titles, 2 Copa del Rey titles and 3 Spanish Super Cups).

Pirri played for Real Madrid from 1964 to 1980 and was a member of the team that won the sixth European Cup and also helped win 10 league titles and 4 Spanish Cups. The next player Ramos can reach is Camacho, who played 577 games. The top three in this respect are Raúl (741), Casillas (725) and Sanchís (710).

Ramos: "We put in a good performance"
"A Clásico is never just another match. We knew what we were playing for. We wanted to win and Madrid had a very good game in general. This is the way to prepare for the final in Kiev".

We came out to win from the first minute to the last.

LaLiga was not won because of referees, they did brilliantly and we have to congratulate them. In general, they were more balanced over the year and the course of the competition”.

Luis Suárez
“Whenever someone gets hurt on the pitch and we think it’s serious, we kick the ball out, it’s a mark of respect, but knowing what he is like, his style and how he is, I didn't think it was necessary to do so”.
Messi’s complaints to the referee
“He put a bit of pressure on him in the tunnel. I’m not sure if that affected things but in the second half certain fouls were refereed in a certain way”.
