The Brazilian wing-back is about to embark on his 12th campaign as a madridista.
Marcelo continues to rewrite the history books at Real Madrid, as the Brazilian prepares to embark on his 12th campaign at the club, which makes him the foreigner to have spent the most seasons as a part of the first-team squad, surpassing Di Stéfano and Roberto Carlos's 11 campaigns. In terms of appearances, he is the club's second-highest foreign appearance-maker, with only Roberto Carlos (527 games) bettering his tally of 408 appearances.

"I've been here for many years now but I give my all every season, each year I go all out with my teammates to try and have the best season we possibly can and look to win some trophies", he declared during a press conference held at UCLA. His quality on the pitch and leadership in the dressing room once again make Marcelo a key member of the squad in a season which will be full of challenges.
Outstanding silverware haul
Marcelo boasts an impressive collection of trophies as a madridista. Since making his debut in the 2006/07 campaign, he has lifted three Champions League trophies, two Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cup crowns, four LaLiga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies and two Spanish Super Cup crowns. The Brazilian wing-back's legacy at the club just goes on and on.
