The Hungarian player made history with Real Madrid, scoring 242 goals in 262 games.
On 14 September 1958, Ferenc Puskas played his first competitive fixture for Real Madrid. That match ended in a 1-2 victory over Las Palmas in La Liga and would be the first of 262 matches he played wearing the Whites' jersey. Among the many attributes he possessed, his eye for goal stood out and as such his first official goal did not take long to come. He opened his goalscoring account on matchday two of La Liga by getting a hat-trick against Sporting (5-1).

His incredible tally of 242 goals makes him the fifth highest scorer in Real Madrid's history, with only Raúl, Cristiano Ronaldo, Di Stéfano and Santillana managing to rack up more than him. A frontrunner in the long list of legendary Puskas games was his performance in the fifth European Cup final against Eintracht Frankfurt, an encounter in which he notched up four goals.
