Lucas Vázquez spoke to Realmadrid TV about the win over Villarreal and the team's impressive form: “I'd underline the collective commitment. The team showed great intensity from the first minute until the last. We came out with real desire to win this game. The team went for a very intense high press that didn't let Villarreal play and we're happy with how the game went."

“It may well have been one of our best performances. The team looked in good shape both in attack and defence. We created chances and defended really well, we're all very pleased."

Good form
“Once you get a little bit of continuity, things tend to come off better. The most important thing is the team and the result."

Brahim's goal
“Spectacular. He stopped time with that piece of skill. He's really gaining in confidence, he's working very hard. I'm thrilled for him."

17-game unbeaten run
“This streak reflects the quality in the squad. We have had lots of injury problems in the first part of the season but the team have never let their levels drop at any time. That reflects very well on the players. There is such commitment and that is what will help us win titles."

Alaba
“That's the big blow from tonight. It's a tough injury, a long spell out. We're having pretty bad luck with these. It's hard, Alaba is an amazing guy, a fantastic professional. We're sad for him but we know he'll do all he can to come back stronger. We'll be right behind him, supporting him and giving him any help he needs."

Message for the fans
“It was unbelievable. The fans really helped us to win tonight from the first minute. We all felt so comfortable, the way the fans were cheering us on was amazing. It was one of those games you really enjoy from down on the pitch."
