PREVIEW.
LaLiga returns to the Santiago Bernabéu, as the league leaders welcome Getafe on matchday 31 of the competition 9 pm CET, just three days after the team’s spectacular win at Stamford Bridge. However, ahead of the return leg against Chelsea, the Whites will be looking to secure another three points as they bid to be crowned league champions.

As the league season draws to a close, Real Madrid face the first of eight crunch matches this evening in their fight to clinch the title. Carlo Ancelotti’s men top the standings on 69 points, having emerged victorious from five of their last six league outings, including last weekend’s win at Balaídos courtesy of a brace from Karim Benzema.
The LaLiga pichichi is having a sensational season, and after his Champions League hat-trick, he has now netted 37 times, with 24 goals in the league. The Frenchman has also scored 10 of the team’s last 11 goals and he will be looking to add to his tally against Getafe to score for a seventh consecutive game. “Benzema's improved his character and leadership on and off the pitch over the years”, said Ancelotti, before highlighting the importance of the clash against Getafe: “We've got to keep winning. We have to play well to pick up another three points”.

Meanwhile, Getafe head to the Santiago Bernabéu on the back of a home win last weekend against Mallorca 1-0. Quique Sánchez Flores’ side are unbeaten in their last three league games and will be looking to get something out of the match to move further up the table. They are currently on 32 points, with a record of 7 wins, 11 draws and 12 defeats. Enes Ünal is the side’s top scorer with 14 goals in LaLiga.
