Real Madrid Returns to LaLiga in Valladolid
We return to league action after the World Cup and look for the top spot at the José Zorrilla Stadium (9pm CET).
LaLiga is back. Real Madrid return to league action 50 days after beating Cádiz at the Bernabéu and visit José Zorrilla to face Valladolid on matchday 15 9pm CET. Ancelotti's men resume their battle for the lead in the competition head to head with Barcelona.
A win for us would put us back at the top of the table and put pressure on the blaugranas, who play the Barcelona derby tomorrow. It will be the last game of the year before the start of 2023 with a demanding January in which Real Madrid could play up to eight games in three different competitions; Copa del Rey, LaLiga and Spanish Super Cup.
"The team is feeling good and looking forward to getting back into action," Ancelotti revealed at the pre-match press conference. The Italian coach, in search of a twelfth win in LaLiga, has called up all available players. To achieve the win, we will be looking to continue the goalscoring form that has enabled us to score in every official game this season.
Our Opponent
We face Valladolid, who went into the World Cup break in 12th place in LaLiga with a record of five wins, two draws and seven defeats. Four of those victories came at a José Zorrilla stadium which is proving to be key in the fight to avoid relegation and where they have also won three times. Sergio León is the top scorer of the Pucelan team, with 7 goals.
