Real Madrid face a fresh league encounter at the Santiago Bernabéu this afternoon. Ancelotti's men take on Espanyol on LaLiga matchday 25 2:00 pm CET. The Whites will be looking to take all three points before the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Liverpool, which will also be played at the Bernabéu on Wednesday.

"It's the start of an important week and the team is looking good," said Carlo Ancelotti at the pre-game press conference. The Italian regains Modrić for his squad after serving his suspension for accumulation of yellow cards, but he will be without Alaba, Mendy and Benzema. The coach has confirmed that Rodrygo will start against Espanyol. Between him and Vini Jr. they have played a key role in 20 LaLiga goals in this season.
Real Madrid's sights are firmly set on beating Espanyol to continue fighting for the league title. And for that to happen, the key will be to regain their offensive prowess. Espanyol are the top-scoring team in Primera División, with 47 goals.
