El Clásico contest in first pre-season outing
The European and LaLiga champions open their Soccer Champions Tour in Las Vegas (Sunday, 5am CET; Saturday, 8pm local time).
Following an intense forthnight of preparations at Real Madrid City and the facilities at UCLA, the defending European and LaLiga champions are set for the first run-out of the pre-season campaign. Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium will provide the setting as Real Madrid pit their wits against Barcelona in the team's Soccer Champions Tour opener.
El Clásico will give our boys the chance to get up to speed in a match scenario. Carlo Ancelotti's charges will be aiming to record a win prior to the next two pre-season tests, against Club América and Juventus. The aim is to ensure that the players head into the 2022/23 campaign, which kicks off on 10 August with the UEFA Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt in Helsinki, in the best possible shape.

The squad will make their Soccer Champions Tour bow at the Allegiant Stadium. It'll be the second time in the club's history that the team contest a game in Las Vegas following on from a visit in the 2012/13 pre-season campaign. This match-up is an attractive fixture, given that, as well as enjoying an El Clásico showdown, fans will be able to see Antonio Rüdiger and Aurélien Tchouameni get their first taste of action in Real Madrid colours.
