Twenty-seventh anniversary of club's 26th league crown
The team was crowned champions after beating Deportivo 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Real Madrid celebrated their 26th league title on 3 June 1995. Our team mathematically secured the league honours on the penultimate matchday after beating Deportivo La Coruña 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu. Valdano's side went ahead through Amavisca, before Bebeto equalised, but a late Zamorano goal gave the madridistas the opportunity to celebrate the title in front of their fans.
Real Madrid recorded 55 points that season, compared to Deportivo's 51, which saw them finish in second place. Our team was the top scorers in the league with 76 goals scored, and Zamorano won the Pichichi with 28 goals. It was also the season in which club legend Raúl made his debut.
