Today marks 54 years since the 14th LaLiga title
Real Madrid clinched the title when they beat Zaragoza on matchday 27.
On this day 54 years ago, Real Madrid's football team were crowned LaLiga champions for the 14th time. On 30 March 1969, our team made mathematically certain of the title with three games left to play, getting the better of Zaragoza at the Santiago Bernabéu 2-0 thanks to goals for Grosso and Velázquez.
The squad led by Miguel Muñoz finished the 1968/69 league campaign with 47 points, followed by Las Palmas on 38. The Pichichi Trophy went to Amancio and Gárate, who both hit 14 goals that season. Real Madrid put together an incredible run, going unbeaten for 27 games to lift the trophy for the eighth time in nine years.
