The fifth anniversary of our 11th Spanish Super Cup win
NEWS.

On 12th January 2020, Real Madrid lifted our eleventh Spanish Super Cup at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). It was the first edition to be played outside of Spain and using a knockout format. Madrid faced Atlético in the final, and after the match ended 0-0, a penalty shootout decided who would lift the trophy. Our team scored their first four kicks, with our opponents missing two. Valverde was elected MVP of the final.

In the previous round, our then-manager Zidane led his side to a semi-final win over Valencia with the game living on in the memory thanks to Kroos's opener direct from a corner setting us on the path to victory, before Isco and then Modrić with a brilliant solo goal, secured qualification for the final 1-3.
