On 10 August 2022, Real Madrid were crowned Uefa Super Cup champions for the fifth time in their history after a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. After claiming La Decimocuarta on 28 May, Madrid added another continental trophy to their silverware list at Helsinki's Olympic Stadium Finland.

The madridistas took the lead through a first-half Alaba strike 37' and in the second half Benzema sealed the win with a shot from inside the box 65'. Casemiro was voted MVP of the clash. In addition, Tchouameni and Rüdiger made their official debuts for the Whites. The Uefa Super Cup was the fourth trophy of a remarkable 2022, in which they claimed the Spanish Super Cup, LaLiga and the Champions League.
